Over the course of the upcoming year, new students will participate in the Joint Preparatory Stage Program. This program is designed to align the foundational academic understanding of incoming ITB students, who come from diverse high schools across various cities and regions. It aims to equip them with strong fundamental knowledge and essential academic skills to ensure they are well-prepared for their chosen undergraduate programs.

The first-year stage also serves as an important period of transition, introducing students to university life and facilitating their cultural and personal adaptation—from high school students to university learners. This includes developing independent and structured learning habits, emotional and behavioral maturity, and adapting from the regulated environment of school to the dynamic and unique academic culture of university life.

New students are expected to quickly integrate into the ITB academic community and to actively engage—both creatively and constructively—in academic and non-academic activities
