Directorate of Preparatory and Common Core Programs at ITB Explores Educational Collaboration with the Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi
Palu — The Directorate of Preparatory and Common Core Programs (Ditsama) of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) conducted a visit to Central Sulawesi Province in response to an invitation for discussions on a prospective educational collaboration organized by the Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi. The meeting took place on Monday (25 May 2026) at the Governor’s Meeting Room in Palu.
This visit formed part of broader efforts to establish synergy between ITB and the Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi in enhancing the quality of human resources through the education sector. Based on the official invitation issued by the Governor of Central Sulawesi, the scope of the proposed collaboration includes student development programs, capacity building for teachers and educational personnel, university preparation initiatives, educational scholarship programs, as well as opportunities for other forms of educational cooperation.
During the meeting, ITB was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB), Dr. techn. Dudy Darmawan Wijaya, S.T., M.Sc., accompanied by his team. Meanwhile, the Directorate of Preparatory and Common Core Programs was represented by the Head of the Pre-University Subdirectorate, Oktofa Yudha Sudrajad, S.T., M.S.M., Ph.D., representing the Director of the Common Preparatory Program at ITB.
The discussion was conducted in a warm and constructive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening educational access and quality for the younger generation in Central Sulawesi. The Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving regional educational standards through collaboration with leading national universities such as ITB.
Through this meeting, it is expected that various strategic collaboration opportunities will emerge and generate tangible impacts on educational development in Central Sulawesi, while simultaneously expanding ITB’s contribution to advancing the quality of human resources across different regions in Indonesia.
This initiative is also aligned with the spirit of Impactful ITB, which emphasizes the university’s tangible contributions to strengthening education, developing young talent, and supporting regional development through science and technology.
